Aquarelle

The Moonlight on the Water (at Circular Quay): Aquarelle @MAFW

Lazing by the pool or on the glittering sands of a crystal beach is a luxury that is reflected in the feminine stylings of Aquarelle.

Aquarelle has quickly established itself as a key player amongst the swim; resort and day wear boutiques by bringing a unique combination of stylish design and delicate femininity to resort wear.

The label is currently marketing their Summer 2006 ranges, which include two stories, Moonlight and Waterblossom.

The pieces in these collections are inspired by exotic flowers and sensual femininity. It is a collection that is effortlessly modern and speaks volumes of the talents behind this relatively young label. The palettes are bright and vibrant hues of rouge, azure, lime, black and white.

Moonlight is a luscious hand dyed print on silk with a sequined butterfly adorning each garment. Waterblossom is a narrative of floral combinations on demi-sheer cotton and rayon voile with embellishments in bead and embroidery. Kaftans, hip pants, soft feminine tops, tie pareos and ruffle skirts are just some of the pieces that feature in this collection.

Aquarelle's junior range Little Miss Aquarelle will also be showing their Summer 2006 capsule collection at MAFW. Little Miss Aquarelle caters for sizes 2 – 10 and recreates the women’s styles in a mini fashion. It’s a collection that offers a unique alternative to kid’s beach wear that is light, easy and cool.

Aquarelle will be displaying these ranges at the designedge fashion incubator agents showroom at the Spring Summer Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in conjunction with 14 other emerging West Australian designer labels.

Viewing of labels in the designedge fashion incubator agents showroom is by appointment with showroom coordinators TCFWA Committee Members Margaret & Karl Farrell Ph: 0403 794 445 or 0422 506228.

designedge fashion incubator showroom will be located in MAFW Agents & Designer Suite 3 @ MAFW, Circular Quay, Sydney. The event runs from the 26th - 30th of April.
