Brag Bags

A Bag You Can Brag About

The treasure hunt of the modern gal is the search for a functional and yet visually stunning handbag. It is often a lengthy and frustrating process that ends in sore feet and a feeling of “not quite satisfied,” with the end purchase.

These days of course, you really should be heading to the internet and to the website of Brag Bags.

A quick look through their online catalogue and you are faced with a plethora of interesting, elegant, funky, functional and affordable choices.

With a collection that includes hippy tote bags to contemporary office handbags to elegant and sparkling evening purses, Brag Bags certainly does raise the bar for other bag manufacturers.

But the most satisfying element of purchasing a Brag Bag is surprisingly not just the fulfillment of finally attaining the perfect handbag but the social conscientiousness that comes along with this purchase.

When you choose a brag bag, you are personally contributing to the welfare of women and their families in Vietnam. This Western Australian company is owned by a woman and supports small cottage industries in Vietnam. Women supporting women. The women artisans, through their age-old skills, are providing much needed income for their families. These artisans personally make each item, and their skill is a reflection of 700 years of craftsmanship. They carefully embroider and bead these bags and scarves by hand and some pieces can take up to three days to complete.

The website represents a small sampling of the fabulous range available to the consumer. A full collection can be viewed through private home gatherings, school fundraisers, corporate events, or a ‘girl’s night out’.

Brag Bags will be displaying their latest range at the designedge fashion incubator agents showroom at the Spring Summer Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in conjunction with 14 other emerging West Australian designer labels.

Viewing of labels in the designedge fashion incubator agents showroom is by appointment with showroom coordinators TCFWA Committee Members, Margaret & Karl Farrell. Phone: 0403 794 445 or 0422 506228.

designedge fashion incubator showroom will be located in MAFW Agents & Designer Suite 3 @ MAFW, Circular Quay, Sydney.  The event runs from the 26th - 30th of April.
