Colour Spirit
The Colour of Love
The ethos behind the Colour Spirit™ fashion label and lifestyle product range is an attitude of love, healing and a communal spirit. Mother and daughter team, Carol and Rachel Hanlon both have an ongoing love of colour and both express this in distinctively different ways.
Carol has been in the fashion industry for over thirty years and ran an extremely successful self named fashion label from 1973 to 1993 which was available throughout Australia and internationally. Carol’s personal sense of style has always carried with it a brilliant struggle of colours and over the years many of Carol’s friends and acquaintances have asked her to explore this sense of fashion with them.
Rachel is an award-winning artist and illustrator and has carried her passion for colour and creating things of beauty since adolescence.
The colours used in this unique and lifestyle changing range were chosen for their specific healing attributes associated with the seven charkra colours. Red represents physical energy, passion and desire. Orange represents gut instincts, emotions and physical activity. Yellow represents honesty, optimism and clear thoughts. Green represents a strong social conscience, dependability and diplomacy. Aqua is the only colour that allows the personality to concentrate solely on itself. Blue represents intuition, insight and imagination. Purple represents those who are rulers. It is for those striving for enlightenment.
The current range of Colour Spirit™ includes a diverse variety of wraps, scarves, shoes, handbags and books, but in future will include almost everything one would need to live a colour tuned and colour healthy life. Colour Spirit™ also offers a consultancy service in providing workshops to groups in conjunction with 'Making your Warbrobe work for YOU' seminars which includes a showing of scarves & accessories from the Colour Spirit™ range and an explanation of the value and benefits of wearing colour.
The Colour Spirit™ range was launched at Fashion Exposed trade exhibition, Melbourne, March 2004, and receiving an overwhelming response from buyers. As a result Colour Spirit™ is now stocked in across Australia and with interest being shown from a European Agent now showing the range in Ireland.
Colour Spirit™ also exhibited at Mind Body Spirit Exhibition in Melbourne in June 2004 and was overwhelmed with interest from the public and future consultants.
Colour Spirit™ is a label that has grown from a family’s love and commitment. Founded by Carol and Rachel, a mother and daughter team but added to by including the talents of Luke Hanlon and Bethany Hanlon Clements.
Colour Spirit™ will be showcasing this range at Fashion Exposed, Australia's largest all encompassing business event for the Fashion Industry being held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Melbourne from September 12th to 14th. The label is looking for stockists and for consultants.
The event gives labels from around the world the chance to promote their Autumn/Winter 2005 range to more than 8000 trade fair visitors. Amongst these visitors are independent retailers, chain stores and department stores all interested in discovering new designs and smart ideas in fashion. Buyers will be impressed with the broadest range of Autumn/Winter apparel on show from over 400 Australian wholesalers and designers.
Colour Spirit™ will be located at the Australian Designer Showcase Exhibition Stand U02 at Fashion Exposed, trade exhibition in Melbourne and will also be available for private showings or appointments.
The Australian Designer Showcase is a project of the TCF Resource Centre of Western Australia, Belmont BEC and is supported by Fashion Exposed Trade Exhibition and Designedge – TCF Australia Uncovered.
